Development of Human Resources for Sustainable Society
Contribution to human resource development in line with Qatar National Vision 2030
Qatar National Vision 2030 is a development plan launched in October 2008 by the General Secretariat for Development
Planning in the State of Qatar. The aim of QNV 2030 is to "transform Qatar into an advanced society capable of achieving
sustainable development" by 2030. Human Resources Development is one of the four main pillars of QNV 2030.
In line with QNV 2030, Chiyoda Almana offers big contribution to the development of local human resources through
providing technical training programs to clients’ Qatari engineers. The Technical Training Program this year extended to
include (17) participant from Qatargas and (6) participants from Qatar Petroleum. The participants had an overview on the
fundamental of all engineering disciplines required for LNG plant operations. The program was prepared and developed
based on Chiyoda Almana strong local experience in LNG engineering, design and construction and aims to enhance
clients’ engineers’ technical understanding and expertise together with an introduction to management and leadership
skills. This program with other programs are successfully conducted over the last 6 years.
Furthermore, Chiyoda Almana collaborates with Chiyoda Global Headquarters to organize similar technical training
programs for Qatar clients at Chiyoda office in Yokohama. The programs in Japan are focused on Greenfield engineering
while Doha programs are mostly for Brownfield engineering.
