Annual Beach Cleaning Campaign

On 07 March 2019, Chiyoda Almana in collaboration with
Beaches and Islands Division - part of the Ministry of
Municipality and Environment - conducted a beach cleaning
campaign at Jemail, Fisherman’s Village.

The activity marked the company’s 11 foundation day with
participation of more than 120 of company’s employees and
their family members.
The participants with support of representatives from Ministry
of Municipality, cleaned up approximately 2.5km stretch of
coastline and collected around 300 bag of waste such as metal,
plastic and solid trash.
Mr. Junji Nagasaka, Managing Director of Chiyoda Almana,
passed the management message to the activity participants
and commented saying: “We are very proud of our commitment
to environmentally friendly activities and the continuation of the
Beach Cleaning activity for 9 consistent years. We intend to
continue such activity and to do much more of our corporate
social responsibilities as a leading local engineering company
in Qatar.”
Initiatives to Eliminate Potential Threat to Environment during
Business Operation
Tire 1 Spill Drill on Qatargas FRP
In continuation to Chiyoda Almana high consideration to
eliminate any potential threat to environment during business
operation and project execution, Chiyoda Almana Flare
Reduction Project (FRP) Team organized a Tier 1 Spill Drill. The
drill’s major target was to test Qatargas Spill Response
Procedure and the capabilities of CA-FRP/Qcon Spill Response
Team. The Spill Drill was a successful tool to identify challenges
in executing roles and responsibilities of CA-FRP/Qcon
workforce and leading to recommendations for improvements.
