Chiyoda Almana in collaboration with Beaches and Islands Division – part of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment – conducted a beach cleaning campaign at Jemail, Fisherman’s Village which is located several kilometers north of Qatar at the Zekreet peninsula.
The activity marked the company’s 11th foundation day with participation of more than 120 of company’s employees and their family members.
The participants with the support from representatives of Ministry of Municipality and Environment have cleaned up more than 300 pieces of the trash bags from around two kilometers of the extended coastline. The collected items included metal, plastic and solid waste.
Mr. Junji Nagasaka, Managing Director of Chiyoda Almana, passed the management message to the activity participants and commented saying: “We are very proud of our commitment to environmental friendly activities and the continuation of the Beach Cleaning activity for 9 consistent years. We intend to continue such activity and enhance our corporate social responsibilities as a leading local engineering company in Qatar.”
