EPCm / EPC
Chiyoda Almana has the resident, local engineering capability to take in-house or Third Party front end or basic engineering designs and to further develop them to the detail and definition required for subsequent procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up and handover phases of the project lifecycle, in compliance with client DFO (Documentation For Operation) requirements.
This capability has been demonstrated on numerous EPC / EPCm projects that have been delivered by Chiyoda Almana since 2008, with such detail engineering and design works being performed through the coordination and teamwork of integrated teams of engineering disciplines that cover civil / structural, electrical, instrumentation, loss prevention, mechanical, piping, process and telecom.
The Chiyoda Almana procurement function works closely with engineering and construction to ensure the timely arrival of correctly specified equipment, material, spares and tools to meet installation, commissioning and start-up requirements. In order to achieve this, we utilise dedicated professionals across all areas of the supply chain cycle to manage all facets of the procurement operation such as vendor engagement, purchasing of equipment and materials, progress tracking and expediting, analysis of supplier quality, logistics and materials storage.
When the need arises to utilise vendors or subcontractors for the provision of third party services on Chiyoda Almana projects, our established subcontracting function is engaged to manage the overall subcontract cycle including the preparation and issuing of RFQs, technical and commercial evaluation of bids received, award recommendations, subcontract administration and close-out.
Chiyoda Almana employs an experienced construction / PMC group solely responsible for the successful execution of construction activities at site from the commencement of early site works such as site preparation and the establishment of temporary site facilities / laydown areas until demobilisation of the construction workforce, rehabilitation of the site and handover of ready to operate facilities. With the support of HSE, QA/QC, procurement and project controls, our construction teams effectively manage, monitor and track all areas of construction to ensure strict adherence to client, project and Chiyoda Almana safety, quality and schedule requirements.
During the EPC or EPCm phase, Chiyoda Almana team will focus on delivering a seamless integrated engineering, procurement and construction scope based on an efficient execution. We typically achieve this by engaging best-in-class talent and supported by mature engineering and project management capabilities locally available here in Qatar.
