Employees Wellness Program
Our Client, Qatargas, has recently implemented a policy that requires every person that will enter Qatargas site
facilities to comply with a maximum BMI requirement of 35. This includes all Qatargas staff, contractors, sub-
contractors and all other third parties. In line with our client’s initiative, on 11 April 2019 Chiyoda Almana
conducted BMI Awareness Campaign for all company employees in collaboration with Fitness First (Fitness
Centre).
Body Mass Index (or simply called as BMI) is an established approximate measurement for gauging whether
someone is overweight, underweight or around the ideal weight for their height.
The BMI Awareness Campaign comes under an integrated Employees Wellness Program that include many
initiatives to ensure employees’ health and wellbeing.
In addition, on 30 January 2020, Chiyoda Almana organized Wellness Checkup Campaign. The event included a
medical assessment conducted by medical team from Al Hayat Medical Centre (E&T, Dentist, Optician, Dietician
and General Physician) to more than 120 Chiyoda Almana employees
The medical assessment involved BMI testing, blood sugar testing, blood pressure testing, basic dental and
vision checkup and one-on-one discussion with medical specialists/doctors.
The event aimed to maintain employees’ healthy lives and promote the importance of well-being.
The campaign was organized in collaboration with Doha Insurance, Nextcare and Third Party Administrator
(TPA).
Chiyoda Almana is constantly committed to employees’ welfare programs and consider the company’s human
capital as a valuable asset. Through the 11 years of operation in Qatar, Chiyoda Almana executed various
initiatives related to employees’ health and well-being.
