SDGs
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are series of 17 global goals set by the United Nations
General Assembly in 2015 to support sustainable development targeted by 2030.
The goals are broad and interdependent, yet each has a separate list of targets to achieve while it covers
social, economic and environmental development issues.
Chiyoda Almana in collaboration with Chiyoda Global Headquarter, is working to "Localizing the SDGs"
and incorporate the goals into company’s CSR programs to enhance business operations and to achieve
company’s business mission and CSR vision aiming to contribute efficiently to the sustainable
development in Qatar.
Through the CSR activities carried-out during FY 2019, Chiyoda Almana considered the SDG goals and
looked carefully where the SDGs can be linked and applied to business and social activities.
The adaption of CSR values in compliance with ISO 26000 standards and the SDGs goals, formed an
integrated business and social development partnership between Chiyoda Almana and the society in Qatar
in alliance with the Qatar National Vision 2030 aiming for the country’s sustainable development.
